I need to read e-mails and make telephone calls for my company in Italy. When I arrived my English was not so good. Business English was perfect for me because I could concentrate on basic grammar, vocabulary and speaking. And I could learn the type of English I need at my company.
This is my third time at the Academy of English! I decided to do CAE because I need to be able to write reports, letters and formal and informal English in my job in Bangkok. I love the intensity of the CAE course. Our teacher works us very hard, but he is also good fun.
The atmosphere at the school is really friendly. It is so convenient to study only a few minutes from Bondi Beach and also so close to the city. I've also enjoyed getting to know Sydney with the free activities and guided excursions - it's a great way to visit places. |
It is a great experience studying General English with people from so many different countries. The teachers have been so helpful and I feel like I have learnt so much.
For me, the FCE class I did at the Academy was a fantastic experience. The teachers motivated us for 12 intensive weeks. The study retreat in the middle of the course was amazing. I would recommend this course to any students thinking about coming to Australia.

I decided to take the Cambridge PET course because I wanted a course with an exam at the end of it. It has been great studying at the Bondi Junction Campus - so close to the beach and great shops. I have learnt a lot and have a fantastic teacher!
I will never forget the time I spent with my classmates and teacher on the study retreat. It was great to study out in the real Australian bush, with kangaroos, possums and goannas everywhere. We worked very hard during the daytime, but in the evening we enjoyed ourselves playing piano, singing, and having fun. |
The CPE course is very intensive but great for my English. We are learning a lot and the class atmosphere is great. I really enjoyed the study retreat, as we could study hard in a beautiful environment.
I had to get an IELTS score of 6.5 in 2 months, so I could be accepted to study Architecture at Sydney Uni. I needed a serious course which would get me through the IELTS exam in the shortest possible time. The IELTS Fastrack course was perfect for this. I would recommend this course for anyone who needs an intensive course to get the IELTS.

I have had a great time at the Bondi Junction Campus. My English has improved so much since I arrived at this school, and I have made friends from all over the world. The lessons and teachers were fantastic. My whole time here has been an amazing experience.

One of the best things about the Cambridge study retreat was mealtimes. It was such good fun cooking for everyone! We went shopping as a class before we got to the hostel. Four members of the class cooked breakfast each day, another four cooked lunch and the last four cooked dinner. |
Perth is a great city - so safe and easy to get around. It's got great cafes, bars and shopping. And it's only a short trip to Fremantle and our favourite place in Australia: Rottnest Island. We'd recommend anyone looking for a great adventure to come and study at the Academy in Perth.
The Academy of English in Canberra is the best place to learn English in Australia because of the people you meet from all over the world. Each week we see a different part of Canberra and experience various cultural events, which is very interesting. |
My friend came to the Academy of English in Brisbane and told me how great it was. He had a wonderful host family and I even have the same family. Brisbane is a lovely place and everyone is friendly, helpful and open-minded. I would recommend my friends to come to the Academy of English too.
