Optional Courses in Rome

The optional courses are designed to extend participants' knowledge of Italian and complement Italian Language studies. Highly qualified teachers who have university degrees specializing in the relevant subject areas teach the classes. The practical courses combine classroom instruction with visits and field trips designed to further illustrate aspects of the course. Optional courses are held in the afternoons. These optional classes require a minimum of 5 students. For Optional Course dates and fees please see table below.

Business Italian
The 4 week course deals with business situations and the language and communication skills required for doing business in Italian. Classes are held three times a week and are 2 hours long. Participants should have at least a Lower Intermediate level of proficiency in Italian (Level 4) to participate in the course.

Roman Archaeology, Italian Cooking and Wines
Each course is 4 weeks long and has a substantial practical component. Classes are held twice a week and last 3 hours. Participants should be in the Elementary level of proficiency in Italian (Level 2) to participate in the course.

CILS Certificate Exam Preparation
CILS is a government recognized certification system consisting of 4 levels of language competence and is conducted by the Università per Stanieri di Siena. Examinations are held in Rome twice a year during the months of June and December. In order to attain adequate language competence to pass these examinations, participants should follow the General Italian courses. This optional course is 5 weeks long and aims to prepare students in specific areas of examination and procedure. Classes are held twice a week and each class is 2 hours. Participants should have at least a Lower Intermediate level of proficiency in Italian (Level 4) to participate in the course.

Optional Course Fees & Dates

This Calendar contains Optional Course fees for participants enrolled in World Link Educations' Italian Language courses. This fee is added onto the Italian Language course fee. These optional courses are only offered in conjunction with Italian Language courses. They are not offered separately.
