Free Guided excursions, Activities and Events

To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, a range of free guided excursions, after-class activities, cinema sessions and social events are included as part of the total immersion program. These after-class activities give participants education outside the classroom, expanding their vocabulary and knowledge of Italy rich and varied culture, tradition, history, art and society.

A calendar of scheduled events is provided at the start of the program and varies according to the student intake. Admission and transportation are included at no additional cost. The program of scheduled activities varies. These excursions and activities are held on weekday afternoons or evenings, and on Saturdays. A sample monthly program is as follows:

• Bicycle ride around the Lido
• Guided tour of the Academia gallery
• Walking tour through the Rialto fish market
• Wine tasting
• Italian cinema
• Train excursions to Vicenza to view Palladio's works
• Venetian boats walking tour
• A cooking class in traditional Venetian cooking
• Guided tour of the Jewish Ghetto
• Farewell Party
